Our beautiful city of Saskatoon has the reputation of being very friendly and welcoming. Our newcomers will appreciate the various choices they have, in their school districts, their recreational centers, their shopping malls, etc. Saskatoon offers a full and rich life both culturally and leisurely, a life rich in culture and in sports and activities. It has a variety of small cafes and restaurants that make our cold winters seem just a little bit cozier and more enjoyable.


Arriving in a new community always has its dilemmas, challenges and at times language barriers. The Saskatoon francophone community would like to help you with information and support. It is available to you in French in our handbook titled the “Guide du Nouvel Arrivant.” It is available to you at the ACF bureau and will help you get settled in Saskatoon.

The “Guide du Nouvel Arrivant” contains general information and addresses to meet all of your immediate needs such as: the health care system, education, housing, transportation, employment and sports and leisure available to you in Saskatoon.

This guide reflects a warm and accommodating welcome to our newcomers who are settling in our vibrant francophone community in Saskatoon!
